Really interesting account of a transracial adoptee, adopted into a conservative, white world (southern Oregon!). Eventually searches for her birth family but finds them a mixed bag and the contact challenging. Raw, honest, and really gives you the perspective of someone with a totally different life experience. I admire the author a great deal. Well written - interested in reading other books of hers.
