This was a super fun middle grade Halloween ghost story with tons of Coco and Stranger Things vibes! Lucely Luna and her friend Syd accidentally cast a spell awakening malicious spirits that are driving away Lucely’s Dominican American spirit family, not to mention messing with her father’s Ghost tour business.
With help from Syd’s witch grandmother the two girls, and sidekick kitty Chunk, save the day and restore order to their beloved St. Augustine Flordia town. I’m so glad this was a Libro.fm ALC for October!! I absolutely adored this story full of Dominicana culture and history and really hope we’ll get more stories featuring these characters!!
