The Mall by Megan McCafferty

3.0

I labelled this as contemporary, but it's set in 1991. Do I...have to shelf this as "historical" fiction at this point???

This was perfectly delightful summery fun. This could be made into a movie, and it would fit in perfectly with all those late '80s classics we know and love. There's humor and antics but also great moments of friendship, growing up and owning to your mistakes.

If you're looking for something lighthearted with a tinge of bittersweet and a healthy dose of nostalgia, then you're in the right place. Let's go to the mall, everybody! (I couldn't resist.)
