This was a bit of a meh read.

It was extremely fast paced and written in a diary format. The first few entries (first quarter of the book) feels like they were getting us up to speed in time for the main portion off the book which takes place in Paris.

We are introduced to Edie, this is her diary we are reading. She has recently moved to a new town and new school and is in the making new friends phase. Like I mentioned previously, we are rushed through this stage and at points I feel like we may have missed vital points to the plot.

Enter Edie’s crush, Dylan, (a very underwhelming love interest) who likes Edie, but also likes others. Quite a toxic narrative and a few times I found myself frowning at what I was reading.

This would be ok for a beach read, but it’s nothing special.
