The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers

Did not finish book. Stopped at 25%.
I had heard that aphobia was a possibility going into this book, but I wanted to give it a try because the concept fascinated me so much. I loved the setting and the discussions of what makes us human, but as soon as they started to discuss that sexual attraction was what makes someone human I had to stop. As an asexual person it felt so dehumanising. I understand that this wasn't the writers intention and it probably came from a position of innocence, but I didn't want to push through the discomfort. Certainly give this book a go but if you're from a marganalised sexual identity I would tred with caution.
