I was rather confused by this book. I'm really interested in the Mitford sisters and have read extensively around the subject, so this appealed to me. I'm not really sure what this was meant to be however. It is kind of a murder mystery and kind of a history, but more of a history than a murder mystery and certainly any tension in the plot was well and truly lost where great periods of time elapse where nothing is being investigated and pages are filled with what is essentially a re-telling of the Mitford's lives. Not for me.
