I had seen this book as a lucky day audiobook on libby and checked it out but never actually got around to listening to it. Then when I received an email for AAPI month saying that it was at the free little library in the building I had to grab it.

I read this book all in one sitting on a flight and it almost made me cry. this is a beautiful story of misfits and found family all brought together by the wonderful Vera Wong. I'm usually not one for murder mysteries and can usually guess the endings but this book pleasantly surprised me with the ending and was not scary like I worried it might be (even with such a harmless cute title and cover art).

This book was such a romp and I would recommend it to people looking for a fun but at times emotional read.
