How did I not know about this book sooner? The description of a magical Hunger Games did not disappoint. This book was darkly enchanting with magic that knows no rules, every character forced into morally grey decisions, and a dark history that has put seven characters on a path to their ruin. I enjoyed every character in this book, no matter how dark their choices became. I was constantly surprised by the twist and turns with this magic system, and was bracing for new horrors in every chapter. Every time I had to put this book down I was waiting to start reading again. I will be highly recommending this to those who enjoy a dark, magical, fantasy filled with morally grey characters. I can’t wait to pick up the sequel ASAP!
