If you do not know there are things you do not see, then you do not see them because you do not expect them to be there. Youโ€™d think youโ€™d see everything, so youโ€™d think everything you see is all there is to be seen. - Pet

To be still is useful when you want to see unseen things. - Pet

๐Ÿง  My thoughts

This book took a not-anymore-new topic, breathed some fresh air into it, and gave it so much depth. The prose was beautiful and lyrical. It had both biblical and philosophical references but didnโ€™t feel forceful or pretentious. This book was such a gem!

๐Ÿ‘ What I like
  • Meaningful and deep storyline
  • Beautiful and lyrical prose

๐Ÿ‘Ž What I don't like
  • Although the ending was rather powerful, it still lacked a punch for me
  • For me, it felt that the LGBTQAI+ representation didnโ€™t have that much weight in the plot, why mentioned it?
