Flames of Truth by Annie Crawford, A.C. Pontone

4.0

This was the first book I’ve read from this author and i was pleasantly surprised.
With so many books on my tbr shelf the last year, i put off reading flames of truth and now I don’t know why i did it.
Emma was an interesting character. She is working hard to provide for her sick father, going to school and suddenly with his illness rapidly getting worse she is at a loss.
With her dad, old friends being bullies, new guys moving to town and other things(spoilers) she has alot on her plate.
She is handling it really well without becoming insufferable sappy, or complain alot.. I hate it when heroines becomes helpless and complais about their life for half the book!
No, Emma is strong. The guys are interesting and I look forward to to see where this series is going in the next book.
