I still really like this series that I'm reading for the first time. Love Carter and Sadie, as well as the secondary cast of Bes, Zia, and Walter (?, I think that's his name). As for a second novel in a trilogy, I never felt that the story suffered in the way that many other seconds in a trilogy often do.
