Hmm. I loved aspects of this book. In addition to abolition, slavery, the horrors of war, it was also a deep dive into marriage and the two sides to a single story or instance. I loved the author's approach with the narration, but the book ended and I wanted more. The intimate look at the characters and the exposed and realistic flaws of the main characters were incredibly well done. All in all, a great read, and a great addition to the Little Women story.
