“Sometimes what’s right isn’t debatable, or a matter of opinion.”

Brigid Kemmerer never fails to write books that I LOVE!

I loved mostly everything about this book! I laughed, I cried, I ‘aww’ed and I got some very strange looks on my commute but I did not care!

Something about listening to this book instantly brings the boom and the characters to life. The narrators truly create the atmosphere of this book and it is beautiful!

At the beginning I didn’t know how I would feel about the new setting, turns out I love it! I love the book being set on sea, it definitely added to the story and made it more enjoyable in my opinion!

I had a great time listening to Princess Corrick and Tessa’s relationship and how that developed whilst being at sea. I loved the side plot of Lochlan. And the introduction of Harristan’s perspective! It was *chef’s kiss*! Harristan taking over from Corrick as the outlaw was incredible c I guessed it as soon as I heard there was a new perspective! (Also I was low-key hoping for the gay storyline… there’s still time! Fingers crossed!)

I have found the downside of listening to a book though… I tend to forget who the characters are and spent a long time thinking Oren and the Captain were the same character 🙈 but when I finally realised, the storyline made a lot more sense!

Another incredible read from Brigid Kemmerer! Looking forward to the last book in the series! 4.25⭐️
