Go Ask Alice by Beatrice Sparks
3.0
While it is a classic within the YA circle, I always struggle with how inauthentic the story feels. Unlike novels like Speak, where the diary entries make you feel like you are befriending the narrator, at all times in "Go Ask Alice" you feel like an outsider. Whether the claims of it being faked are true or not, it remains one of the more puzzling novels that continues to be read.
