Rumi: Selected Poems by Rumi

inspiring reflective relaxing fast-paced

we are both lover and beloved, the wine and the drinker, the circler and circled. we should come near to the beloved like a moth to a flame, ready to have our wings burnt. rumi talks of the suicide our souls long for to unify with the beloved, and how we must detach from our manifest world to truly realise what completes us. his poetic allegories are ripe with symbolism, with metaphors of consciousness, subconsciousness, our state of awareness and how what we draw into ourselves is what impregnates us, creating the progeny that is our reality. like soap washing with our dirt, rumi cleans us, leaves us empty, draws our awareness back into the infinite so we remember the existence of the harvest before the seed.
