Pinch Hit by Tim Green

3.0

This book served as a great reminder why I occasionally continue to read books aimed at kids. As much as I enjoy a tome about long-dead historical figures, sometimes it is nice to take a break and read something that gives me the same feelings I would get when reading in my youth. Pinch Hit ended up being less of a sports story than I was expecting (one of my favorite genres as a kid, right after adventure books and spooky stories), but it still managed to deliver a compelling narrative that kept me on my toes and made me feel like a kid again.
