Vengeance Bound by Justina Ireland

2.0

+ Furies!
+ Actual death and vengeance
+ Amelie/Cory battling for her humanity

- Is bad at forming relationships, but manages just fine here, without even trying (aside from having to focus on keeping the furies at bay)
- all her friends are fucked up in one way or another (which one could argue is true for all people, but I didn't like that the only people with a handle on their fucked up-ness gets shoved out of the story)
- Are pretty eyes all a boy needs to make a girl fall madly in love with him these days? Even as they got to know each other he didn't grow a personality.

This book is such a great idea, with glimmers of good storytelling, but for me it stops there. The characters and the plot development didn't really keep my interest and I kept ending up deep in my own thoughts about something else completely while I was reading.
