kfish3 's review for:
Magic Bitter, Magic Sweet
by Charlie N. Holmberg
Magic Bitter, Magic Sweet by Charlie M Holmberg is a free NetGalley ebook that I read in late May while on vacation in Telluride, Colorado.
The dreamy, singsong quality of this book is a lot like that of an open-ended D&D narrative - the environment feels apart from an earthbound timeline, choices are simple, and the dialogue is chiding, yet bardlike in its New Age meaningfulness. Much more palateable, earth-motherly, and mystic than Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake with an added amnesia adventure.
