I think I was probably more likely to get into Hiromi Kawakami’s writing through her novels, but I only had enough of an attention span for this novella 🫠
(I’ve also seen a review that said read this as a companion to Strange Weather in Tokyo, oops! 😂)

Fun and light, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the tengu as less of a deity and more of a human figure.
