Wow. I loved this book. It's not perfect, but the way it made me feel seen made it perfect to me. Leighton was such a relatable character for me, especially when she expressed her thoughts and feelings about leaving home to go to school. I didn't live in an environment with physical violence, but I do come from a broken home and this book would have been so perfect for me to read back then. This is going onto my list of favorites for sure.
