This was a beautifully written book! I read the English translation, so I imagine that the original is even more eloquent. It discusses friendships and life in a way that really makes you think.
Even though this book is already pretty short, I do think it was too long for what it is. It is basically a one-sided conversation from a man explaining to his friend that he knows why the other left 41 years ago. As another reviewer said, I think this would be an excellent short story!
