My Little Pony: Friends Forever, Volume 1 by Alex de Campi, Jeremy Whitley, Ted Anderson

4.0

Cute and fun, volume 1 of Friends Forever adds to the cartoon series with bright, colorful illustrations and charming stories, complete with lessons and personal growth for the ponies (and dragon!) we've come to love. I would definitely recommend the cartoon for any kids (and adults) I know, and I think the graphic novel gets that same recommendation. It would be great for reluctant readers who already enjoy the cartoon, and work as little mini-episodes really well. I especially enjoyed the Cutie Mark Crusaders storyline, which I wasn't expecting. Of all the episodes of the series I've seen, those are generally my least favorite. The addition of our chaotic friend Discord was quite perfect.

In the end - highly recommended!
