Arctic Dreams by Barry Lopez

slow-paced

3.0

As always, I need to be clear that the star ratings are exclusively based on how much I enjoyed the book. This was a SLOG for me to get through. It’s beautifully written and the narrator on the audio book had a lovely voice. But it was just not a topic that was captivating for me. I couldn’t tell you what I read but every once in a while I locked into a moment that was very cool. Like how our concepts of day and night are so different in the arctic where day and night both last for months. And the idea that there could be a sheet of ice on which structures are built that have no land underneath them. Anyway, it was interesting, I’m glad it was a book group pick, but it took me too long to read.
