Rochelle Burton and Gideon Lane had a past. He was her first, even though it was a disaster for her and she left town without a word. Now, seventeen years later, she needs him. She's a popular fictionalized history author and she's just written a controversial novel. With controversy comes the creepers and she needs a bodyguard. Gideon is the best at personal security. Can these two work together or will Rochelle's abrupt departure seventeen years ago be an issue for Gideon? Will they try to make perfect what was no where near perfect for her all those years ago?
Fantastic entertaining story! Rochelle's nonchalant attitude throughout the book, about her relationship with Gideon, kind of got on my nerves. That issue aside, it's always a good read with sexy cowboys who morph into sexier bodyguards. I loved the Cherry Chastain story line running through the book. The end? The end was awesome! I couldn't have been more surprised! This is definitely an author to pay attention to.
