Absolutely devoured this in one sitting! Loved the banter, plot is quick moving. Main character motivations are believable and the side characters are all unique and stand on their own within the story. I was really impressed with the ending, especially the twists. Even if you can guess a bit of where it’s going, it unfolds beautifully. The end of the book is essentially a villain origin story for the FMC and while I was hugely surprised that this leaves on a cliffhanger (I assumed this was a standalone!) I’m excited to see where the story goes (though personally I hope it wraps up as a duet to keep the story pacing)!
Moderate: Chronic illness and Sexual assault
Minor: Child death and Death of parent
