I can kinda see why most of these detectives have been forgotten to time. A lot of them haven't aged the best. There are some short stories here that are fun to read (my favourites being the ones featuring Judith Lee, Dick Donovan and Martin Hewitt) but all of them I'll probably forget about in a few days. Still, a valuable read if you want to see what other crime fiction there was in the late 19th to early 20th centuries, but Holmes' influence is perhaps a bit too apparent in most of these stories.
