Antsy Does Time by Neal Shusterman

3.0

I wish I had read the first book before I read this sequel. While the book can stand alone, I don't think I felt as drawn into Antsy's character as some of the other reviewers. I felt the presence of the author as I read this book, and I wish that Antsy's voice had become more authentic to me. The premise of the story was interesting. Antsy finds out his friend, Gunnar, is terminally ill, and he decides to try to get people to donate months of their lives to Gunnar. I also found the book to be a bit predictable. It did make me laugh out loud quite a bit, and I think the author did an excellent job presenting a morbid topic in a light-hearted way. All in all, I liked the book, but I didn't fall in love with it, as many of these reviewers did.
