Clare and Aidan have been dating for about two years and find themselves on the last night before they each leave for college. They have planned to spend the entire night together, and Clare has even made a list of places for them to visit. Through the night, they also plan to decide whether they will stay together (despite their colleges being on opposite coasts) or break up. Clare's list gets abandoned as their night together takes twists and turns they didn't see coming, but their decision is still looming.
I love that the book is written as their twelve hours together, it's a great addition to the entire story line. Overall, this is a sweet story of young love and the heart-wrenching decision that most high school couples have to face. I wanted to jump in and help them with what to do, but their conversations and reasoning were great in helping them with the decision. As I finished the epilogue, I took a big exhale, loving the ending.
