I like the movie only slightly better than the book, maybe for the twist ending/ nostalgic reasons. Not sure if I would have felt the same way had I read the book first. Feel the themes of race, class, misogyny, oppression, are represented more thoroughly in the book - better background/character development overall. The movie really only focuses on Evelyn, Idgie and Ruth - the book includes many more characters and plot lines which I enjoyed.
