Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis
5.0

Set during the Great Depression, Bud, an orphan living in Flint, Michigan, sets out to find his family. Bud has been on his own sent from foster to orphanage, since his mother died. Bud refuses to put up with the mistreatment in the homes and decides to find his long lost father. Bud is quirky and funny. He has an easygoing attitude towards his rough situation. This novel is interesting and great.
