Why You Might Bump This Down On Your TBR:
⌑ I didn't enjoy reading it until around the halfway mark.
⌑ The writing starts off tropey and unbelievable, but it improves significantly as the story goes on.
⌑ It didn't teach me anything I didn't already know about eating disorders so I'm not sure if it would teach anyone else.

Why You Might Bump This Up On Your TBR:
⌑ Our female protagonist has feelings for her female best friend. Their relationship is complex.
⌑ It contains one of my favorite depictions of therapists, even though the therapist is not 100% perfect.
⌑ The story doesn't end when you think it would and that works to its benefit.
⌑ The way the author shows experiences different from the protagonist's really worked for me.
⌑ It examines unhealthy and healthy (female) friendships.

Depending On Your Personal Preferences:
⌑ The protagonist is unlikable at first. It's possible that this is because watching her defend her symptoms is frustrating, though extremely true to life.
⌑ For some readers, it might seem like too much is going on for the protagonist's story. While this is believable, it takes away from the universality that some readers look for in representative works. If you're more into being entertained, you might enjoy this part of it.
⌑ While it's not absolutely thrilling and the main "mysteries" are simple, there is a consistent feeling of wonder about what's going to happen next.
