Colder, Vol. 2: The Bad Seed by Juan Ferreyra, Paul Tobin

3.0

3,5*

Considering Nimble Jack was defeated in previous story arc, I wondered if there can be something happening to Declan to keep mu attention. Well, there is.
Once again, portal to Hungry World is opened and it spit into our world another nightmare made flesh. his name is Swivel and he likes fingers... So much he chops them off random passerbyes.
When it comes to plot, this one is weaker than vol. 1 since there is not that much of a story: he comes, he harvest the fingers and he transfers Reece into Hungry World where Declan follows her. Other than that, we have bunch of scenes with Swivel doing his cleaver dance on people's fingers and Reece trying to stay sane after numerous encounters with terrible creatures of Hungry World. They do get to find out what's Swivel's fixation on Declan about, but it's kind of lazy plot twist- Nimble Jack had a simple motive- hunger, but it was effective. ;)
Now the good... Well, Swivel is horrifying creation who seems to bloom and in hands of Juan Ferreyra. Body horror drawn so perfectly it's clever, and composed so well into Hungry World. Ferreyra is definitely the star of this entire project.
