Treaties, Trenches, Mud, and Blood: A World War I Tale by Nathan Hale

5.0

Not a war buff by any means at all, but this one might go down as my favorite in the collection. It’s well done, smart, and synthesizes such complex material that I walked away feeling like I had a greater understanding of WWI. Although it’s geared towards children, I think all historians would enjoy this read.
