Hey, Hey, Hay!: A Tale of Bales and the Machines That Make Them by Christy Mihaly

4.0

Thanks to the Kid Lit Exchange for the review copy. All opinions are my own.

A rhyming picture book that gives young kids an in-depth look at life on the farm. This isn't your standard "cows go moo" book. It teaches the steps and vocabulary that most farm kids probably already know about how to bale hay. (Note: We are not farm kids, so this was incredibly informative!) Bonus points because the farmers are a mother and her daughter. Extra bonus points for the recipe for switchel at the end. We love a book with a recipe!
