This book really pulled me in immediately--I haven't stayed up late to finish a book in a long time! The world building was excellent and felt natural, and I liked that this was a plot-forward novel instead of only centered on the relationship like some romances. Both main characters felt real and I liked their dynamic. Plus I am HERE for merman detectives of the sea. I only wish had been shown more before the dramatic reveal. I'm excited to read the sequel!
