Brawl of the Wild by Dav Pilkey

3.0

I liked this one, but there's a definite formula at this point and this book does absolutely nothing to shake it up. Characters, plot, jokes, Brawl of the Wild just puts the greatest hits on repeat, which feels even more disappointing considering its emotional climax is about avoiding repetition. It's all masterfully executed (though I could've done without the return of the over the top toilet humor), but it's beginning to feel a bit tired. Well, for me, at least. The little one is still totally in love, which is awesome. Here's to hoping the next book changes things up even just a bit.
