A Forest of Stars by Kevin J. Anderson
4.0
And the plot moves on! The second book takes place 5 years after the events of the first book. Some of the events from the first book are still a mystery and a whole bunch of new plots have opened up. I feel the Klikiss robots and their objectives are a good mystery just waiting to be explained. The galactic warfare has moved up a few notches with forces of immense power battling each other for ends unknown.
The book is fairly easy to read for a space opera with very few chapters that can be considered boring. Majority of the boring parts are from the Ildiran story and I feel like they aren't doing much and are still getting a lot of pages. The Anton Colicos parts are very boring in this book, maybe they will make more sense in book 3!
This is a solid space opera and I have a feeling that book 3 will kick this galaxy into a war frenzy!
