The Cyanide & Happiness Depressing Comic Book by Kris Wilson, Dave McElfatrick, Rob DenBleyker, Matt Melvin

1.0

R*ping children isn’t funny. There was no punchline, no moral of the story, no call for introspection. Just child r*pe. And if the intent of the book was to “catch a glimpse of what hurts so we can heal it,” like it said it was in the intro, that is most certainly not how you do it. Absolutely tasteless.
Had the book not had r*pe in it, it probably would’ve gotten around three stars. There was some macabre humor, some interesting life lessons, and a few emotion-unblockers. However, half the comics reuse the same car crash ending which was a bit lazy, and I found a lot of the comics to be fake deep and trying too hard. Not for me, but maybe for an edgy 15 year old. In one word; neckbeardy.
