I thought this second book in the Gilded Wolves series was better than the first, partially because it felt less like several heist stories strung together, but mostly because of the character development. Enrique and Zofia in particular get a lot more depth in this book, and Lalia and Severin progress too, even if their cold-shoulder-romance is annoyingly juvenile.
