Confessions of a D-List Supervillain by Jim Bernheimer

2.0

This is an amusing book but that's about it. The world and the various superheroes and villains are well done - borrowing of course from the vast worlds created by comics, but the names are clever and their powers are nice and varied. However, this is where the good parts end. The lead character, despite being on a journey of redemption from villainhood is pretty despicable throughout - he doesn't really grow as a character, and the other characters are pretty flat and cliched. Not saying it's a *bad* book, but it definitely had the potential to be a lot more than it was.
