Murder at the Feast of Rejoicing by Lynda S. Robinson

3.0

Set during the reign of Tutankhamen, this is a series of murder mysteries centering on Lord Meren who is the "eyes and ears of the Pharaoh". I enjoyed [b:Murder at the God's Gate|2058753|Murder at the God's Gate (Lord Meren, #2)|Lynda S. The details about life in Ancient Egypt and the possible fate of Akhenaten and his wife Nefertiti are intriguing but unfortunately the central plot is drawn out and gets too bogged down in conversation. There are two murders and even though I finished the book last night, I've already forgotten what the story was with one of them.
