Oh. My. God.

I can't actually believe I found this in a second hand store (in another country), and despite the very "usually not my style of cover"-cover, and despite it being nearly 500 pages long, I picked it up and actually got it. And it turned out to be an absolute gem of a final book to reach my goal of 15 books this year??? Definitely already one of my favorite books I've ever read ever, probably.

The world is definitely what drew me in to begin with. I am a SUCKER for Treasure Planet (in this case, the space ships have solar powered sails, and they have coordinates for something super duper secret) and literally ANYTHING involving space, and to also have a robot accidentally pulling off sarcasm by stating Facts™ and by doing so, dealing sick burns to their companions? Instant 5 star for me lol.

I also just really really loved the use of iron and stars and other space/science terms in their language and inner thoughts and monologues. And the use of the "unbreakable oath" was just so ??? Interesting ??? I'm not explaining myself well but it was really like stepping right into a very specific universe and just tagging alog for the ride and learning things as you go, which I've realized is my favorite way of being introduced to a new world. The language overall and use of words was so thought-out and as I reached the end where things started going downhill, so many of the previously used words and phrases came back with such a gut punch that re-reading this will probably cause even more heartache than it did the first time.
