Doctor Strange: Damnation by Nick Spencer, Szymon Kudranski, Donny Cates, Rod Reis

3.0

Like the rest of Cates' run on Doctor Strange, this is...okay. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could.

The story is entertaining, the part is serviceable, but it feels like there is a lot of missed potential. Another problem I have with Cates is that all of his characters sound the same. Even Wong, a man who is supposed to be spiritual and refined, talked like some hipster. It's just...wrong.

The set up for a new Midnight Sons team, though, is cool, as is Johnny Blaze becoming the new Ruler of Hell (I hope that stays around for a bit, but it doesn't sound like it will) but it just feels like there is so much here that could have been great but is just kind of average.
