What Alice Forgot
by Liane Moriarty
I started this book for some light reading and had trouble getting into the plot and characters in the beginning. I even set it aside and read another book before picking it up for a last chance... then the storyline and characters started to come together in a wonderfully created world, where time has created change. The novel allows a look back into how the drip, drip of life can change ourselves and the relationships with those around us dramatically over time.
The ending was not what I was expecting and instead of feeling disappointed, I appreciated that the characters had a more realistic resolution than current trends encourage.
