Scooby-Doo! and the Haunted Castle by James Gelsey, Duendes del Sur

I am 27 years old and I read this because I miss the hell out of Scooby-Doo, and I am writing this probably too-long review to justify to unkown readers, that despite being 27 years old, I read a 58-page children's book with a huge font and I ENJOYED THE HELL OUT OF IT.
Scooby-Doo is one of my absolute favorite childhood cartoons, and it sucks growing up an ceasing to find stories like this. I can't have enough of haunted mansions! And despite being such a universal trope, there doesn't seem to be a steady, reliable supply of novels that include them. I've already read the majority of what I could find.
Scooby-Doo is the ONLY series that keeps this steady supply flowing, with a healthy balance of spooky, but not horrifying. I grew up loving the suggestion of the supernatural, but growing up doesn't mean I also want to or need to have the crap scared out of me when it comes to this genre.
If I have to continue reading 58-page children's books with huge fonts to get my fix of spooky but not torturous, I will gladly do so.
