This is very different from Mindhunter. As someone who really liked Mindhunter but wanted more I was excited to listen to this. Written by the creator of criminal profiling, John Douglas, The Killer Across the Table focuses on four serial killers. Recounting the interviews, Douglas overviews the case, the killer, their childhood, how they were caught, and more. Unfortunately this was pretty boring. Not sure if it was because John Douglas and his life is cooler than why deranged white dudes murder people or Johnathan Groff and his dull voice but I did not like this as much as Mindhunter. It wasn't bad in any way but it was definitely disappointing.
