Book of the Moon: A Guide to Our Closest Neighbor by Maggie Aderin-Pocock

The further into the book I read, the more this felt like  a covert attempt to convince readers that moon/space colonization is exciting, necessary, & inevitable. The moral considerations for colonizing space were rarely explored and no real credence was given to those important issues. The author didn’t make a connections between the egregious harms of colonization on earth and how we are bringing that same mentality and approach to space.

I found a lot of this book less engaging than I expected, with lots of lists of rounded up nuggets of info. I had to force myself to keep reading for most of the book.

My favorite part was the author’s voice which was often funny, and the personal anecdotes she shared about her childhood.
