The Lost and the Found
by Cat Clarke
So, up until page 385, this book was a solid 3 star read for me.
Then it became 3.5 stars.
Then that last paragraph brought it up to 4.
Reasons are under the spoiler thingy:
And it was frustrating.
I mean, it was still a good book, but I spent the whole time waiting for the reveal, and it took 385 pages to happen.
(I was waiting so long that I took note of the page number when it finally did happen).
Once it was confirmed that she was, indeed, not Laurel, I found myself enjoying the book much more.
It's a shame there was only, like, 50 pages left.
And then the last paragraph (not including the 'excerpt') had me in tears.
