Herbert Hoover by William E. Leuchtenburg

3.0

As I get further and further back reading through presidential biographies I know less and less about the men that once led the United States. It was very interesting to read about the life that Herbert Hoover led and what ultimately led him to the highest office in the land. Once again I have been grateful for the American Presidents series in giving what felt like a relatively unbiased view on a president. While it didn't necessarily seem like Mr. Hoover caused the great depression it definitely felt like he didn't help solve the problem either which was very interesting. Overall a highly enjoyable read that I would definitely recommend to others interested in a high level biography of Herbert Hoover.
