Why must everybody conquer the world?

Miller’s presentation of Time in the plot
  • He moved from one moment of the present, to another moment of the past, so smoothly without breaking the overall scene.

This is a beautiful way of presenting time as having a fluid nature.

Willy's character also portrays this fluidity of time, as what he had in the past comes back and makes him grieve and hallucinate in the present, and thus marks a tragedy in his future.
